Designed for use in thin gauge materials, Hexserts are suited to applications which need higher torque to turn values. Installed from one side, Hexserts require a pre–prepared hexagonal hole.
In adverse conditions, Nutsert applications can fail when the exposed end of the screw becomes corroded. This means that when an attempt is made to remove the screw, the thread binds - encouraging the insert to spin. Hexserts come into their own in this type of situation, as the hex form strongly resists turning.
With thread sizes are from M3 to M10, Hexserts are available in large flanged and closed end variants. Produced in zinc plated and passivated Steel, stainless steel or aluminium, additional sizes and finishes are available - please check for details.
High strength Hexsert® inserts are a new range of superior strength threaded inserts, based on the current euro Hexsert large flange range (the 9498 series).
