Chobert Rivets

Chobert is especially suited to the assembly of thicker materials, up to and including blind holes. Featuring less clamp-up than Briv, Chobert also lends itself to applications that will not take the stress of normal riveting. These include the assembly of components onto printed circuit boards, plastics and even ceramic type materials. Chobert is also frequently used to attach labels on to machined components, to make electrical contacts and for use as pivot/hinge pins.

If required manipulation of the nose equipment and mandrel combination allows Chobert to be used in holes which are oversize or irregular. In addition hole fill and clamp up can be closely controlled. Once nose equipment has been selected the process is totally repeatable - ensuring consistent results.

Available in snap or countersunk head forms, Chobert is produced in aluminium, steel and brass. Special coatings such as paint, anodising, or hot tin dip are available to customer order.
