Tools for breakstem rivet systems

Zygology offers a range of breakstem rivet tools to fit all requirements and budgets. For high volume production the Genesis range is second to none in terms of performance, ease of use and durability. For less demanding customers we offer the Zygology 'Z' air power range of tools. The home user and maintenance requirements are catered for with our hand tool offering.

Tools for rivet nuts

Our range of rivet nut tooling covers all requirements. For the demands of volume production the Avdel 07420 or 074201 tools are ideal. The 0742 range has an enviable reputation for durability and reliability. The light weight of the 741 tools makes them suited to smaller sized fasteners and bench type assembly work. For those on a tighter budget we offer the Zygology ‘Z’ air power tool range. These excellent robust tools are suited to medium volume assembly and offer excellent value for money. For low volume work – or for those without access to compressed air - we also have a range of hand tools capable of placing inserts up to M12 thread size in steel.

Tools for speed fasteners

Speed Fastening is a concept unique to Avdel. The system uses pre loaded cartridges which are loaded into especially designed air powered tools. These tools are available in various forms from hand held versions for larger applications to a variety of bench mounted versions for smaller products and PCB assembly. Speed Fasteners come in sizes from 1.6 millimetre (1/16”) to 6.4 millimetre (1/4”) diameter.

Tools for structural breakstem fasteners

Structural fasteners are used in heavy duty applications. As a result they require tools designed especially designed to install them correctly. The Avdel Genesis nG3 and nG4 tools generate high pull forces from standard compressor air pressure in order to install structural fasteners quickly and without fuss. The hand tools on offer can be used where there is no access to compressed air or for low volume usage.

Tools for structural two part fasteners

Lockbolts are especially strong fasteners which provide high strength joints. The tools needed to install this type of fastener are designed to generate extremely high pull forces and have special nose equipment designed specifically to install lockbolts. The trade name for Avdel lock bolts is Avdelok, although they are also commonly known as Huck bolts.

Tools for Avseal sealing plugs

The Genesis range of tools is capable of placing most sizes of Avseal plug. For low volume users the TX2000 battery tool or 07540 long arm riveter can also be used.
